I am an old fart, and was a member of the Detroit Curling Club for twenty-five years. It is a great game to participate in. Remember this, the Scots are responsible for two of the most frustrating games to play; curling and golf. Most people shy away from curling because they are not sure of how to play something on ice, without being on skates.
Ha!
But the Brits created what is possibly the world's toughest sport, water polo.
A group was playing rugby and, after a few pints, someone suggested they play it in the river, in deep water...WTF?!
The Brits are famous (infamous?) for creating games when they were soused. Badminton and Horse polo are two others that come to mind. What, what?!
