There is no reason for the MVC to take NMSU. They can take Murray State and save on the travel.

The MWC could have brought Wichita State in to get to an even 12. They were not interested. I just don’t see NMSU joining the MWC for Olympic sports. Any expansion in an FBS conference has to bring more revenue.

You may think that NMSU is not going to a bowl game again, but have you seen their schedule for next season? There must be six wins on that schedule.


I have looked at that schedule. Based on ratings at the end of the season this year, there are going to be 8 games in which they have the higher rating and should be favored. A lot can and will change before next fall, but at this point you are right; there should be at least 6 wins on the schedule.
