Our current schedules will get us the NY6 bowl most yrs if we win the conference & have no more than 1 loss (2 in an unusual yr). But even undefeated, will NEVER get us a slot in the CFP as it is currently organized. No need to even discuss it. 87's post#47 nailed it. The criteria will always be subjective enough to keep us out. Even going to 8 teams will not help unless the AAC gets an 8th seat at the table. Without a guaranteed slot, the AAC & the G-4 will just get more subjective excuses as to why we don't measure up.

And all the while the P-5 conferences are making it tougher for their members to even play us H/H - to be sure there is no objective criteria (wins) requiring our inclusion.
