Is any other school going to take him?

Yep.

Schools like Alabama State would jump at the chance to get a guy like Ball. Not condoning his actions but the guys shoplifted.....

I'm 100% sure that nearly every adult man has done something worse.

I cant think of too many things that are worse than stealing. Rape, Murder and attempted murder are the things that I can think of off the top of my head. I have never raped or murdered or attempted to murder anyone. Ill go out on a limb and say that most posters here have probably, never done those things either.

Police brutality.
Racism.
Having an affair.
Drunk driving.
Child abuse.
Blackmail.
Extortion.
Espionage.

I came up with all of those in less than a minute and can go on.

You guys don't like his dad I get it. I'm a USC fan, you can imagine how much I was laughing at the RUINS and their class act. But he stole something, no one got hurt, no one died, charges were dropped.

If you have ever illegally downloaded a song. Watched a live stream that was not from an authorized source guess what? You deserve the same punishment you are wishing upon this young man.

Having an affair is a civil offense, not a criminal. Outside of schools with honor codes like Notre Dame and BYU it's hardly an offense of consequence (beyond the relationship in question).

Racism is not a crime, although if acted upon, it can lead to actions which are criminal, such as housing discrimination. It can also if shown or a jury suspects lead to a special add-on to a crime committed. Racism is a sub-form of tribalism, but I'm being technical (Tribalism is identification of oneself with a particular group, and that can be religious, or social, or in the case of racism, racial). Put another way, racism can be a motive for a crime, but it is not actually a crime. (Consider, you can be a Salafist, and believe that Americans are Kafir who deserve to die; but it's not a crime, but it could be the motive for blowing off a bomb or shooting people.)

As for espionage, not even the faculty members of cell outed at UC Davis are under any punishment. Maybe a disconnect between the way elites enforce the law and how we ordinaries interpret it.

He said worse.

No one made any mention of civil law vs criminal law.

Having any affair destroys families. Leaves children without a parent. Ruins marriages. Are you going to argue that a teenager stealing some material item is "worse" than that?
