I think there's some truth to that, in that in the polls, we have three teams solidly in the top 25, even though among them, they have basically zero accomplishments against P5 teams this year.

Basically, the entirety of UCF, Memphis, and USF reputations and rankings are based solely on accomplishments vs other AAC teams.

So we are getting national poll credit for beating other AAC teams.

I can re-check, but if memory serves me correctly, the AAC was 0 and 5 versus the Big 12 and 0 and 2 versus a beatable ND. That has to get better. Tough competition is only good when you hold your own and win some of those games.

Tulane, Tulsa, ECU, and Houston, before they switched QBs are four of those losses to ranked Oklahoma, okie st, wvu, and a solid Texas tech respectively. Smu got beat by tcu as well.

ND was Temple with a new coach and in rebuild mode and navy.

With better match ups I expect we do better really only the Navy ND and tech Houston games tell us anything. We need to do well in bowls then we can show on a neutral field we can compete.
