Yeah, I can see us being ranked higher in the CFP poll when it comes out. They don't just rubber-stamp the AP and Coaches' polls. They do their own homework. Plus, what about our SOS vs. theirs? We play Houston, Tulsa, and UCF. Do they?

They play Houston and UCF, but not Navy.

Their best OOC game was vs. Illinois, who is pretty crummy. Obviously, they have a head start on the ranking, but the pollsters will sometimes drop teams for unimpressive wins--especially vs. crummy teams.

So, if USF has a clunker win vs., say, UConn that can slow their rise in the polls.

The bright side is that if the game is at Raymond James, the home field advantage won't be much of an advantage.

Human element is still in play with the polls. If USF does not lose it will make it harder for the voters to put us in the polls. A 1 loss and maybe even 2 loss P5 school could jump us in the polls. Pollsters have a bias toward P5 conferences and unless we go deep into the season undefeated we will still find it difficult to get much higher than the 20-25 range if we make it that high. USF would have to make it top 10 before they would be comfortable to put two AAC teams into top 20.

First you claimed that the computer poll was the tiebreaker.

Then you claimed Memphis couldn't catch USF in the computer rankings--even though Memphis is AHEAD of USF in the rankings right now.

So you than claim that the AAC can't have two teams in the T25.

Based upon what historical proof? This is from two years ago. I count three teams in the T25 from the AAC.
