Yeah, seems to me the easiest thing for Georgia State would have been taking on Maine (UCF's opponent) and maybe getting a win. I'm sure they'll manage to eek one out at some point this year, but losing to Tennessee State is pretty rough.

Then rescheduling Memphis for a future year, and then maybe getting UCF to agree to a 1-1. That seems like a win-win for all parties, but Georgia State decided to be petulant it seems.

Best thing now is to leave it open and play 11. Nobody in Atlanta is coming to a game against Maine.

Not sure how Maine is any different from ULM or most any Sun Belt team other than Georgia Southern and maybe App State to fans in Atlanta. You build your program off of fans who are there to support your team, not to see the other team.
