There was a reason he didn't catch on elsewhere.
Great in college does not always translate into the pros.
I remember one play in particular for Wolfe and the Bears. He caught the ball in the short flat, had a blocker who had a tackle engaged. Wolfe ran right past the defender except he stuck out his arm and stopped Wolfe in his tracks. Yes, a 1-arm tackle in the open field. To me that is the reason why he didn't have more success.

Yep. I'm not sure what happened to Wolfe when he got to the Bears, but he would go down from the slightest of contact. While I agree the Bears used him incorrectly, he was nothing like the back he was in college.
