and look at what we know so far...
On FS1-
Washington @ Rutgers
Ohio @ Purdue
Northern Illinois @ Nebraska
Nebraska @ Illinois
Iowa @ Nebraska
1 even so-so game.
on Fox-
Louisville vs Purdue
Army @ Ohio St
Notre Dame @ Michigan St
Penn St @ Ohio St
Ohio St @ Michigan
pretty huge difference there. Fox may have wanted to have the games for FS1, but the Big Ten had all the leverage.
Iowa v. Nebraska was broadcast on ABC (with great viewership) in 2016 and 2015. I'm sure there will be other good B1G games that will help FS1 improve its reach and reputation.
It's VERY possible that Iowa/Nebraska is the best game on FS1.
The problem with your statement is that we already know of the 13 weeks Fox has gotten their #1 choice in like 5 of those weeks. ESPN/ABC has gotten their #1 choice in only 1 of those weeks. So of the other 7 weeks ESPN gets #1 choice in 5 of those weeks- meaning #2 choice would be going to FS1 at best. In the 2 weeks that Fox chooses #1, I'd be pretty sure that there's a stipulation that requires the #1 choice to be televised on network TV(regardless of network choosing). So that won't help FS1 out much either.
