Playing Purdue now serves very little point with the five game ACC commitment and the "untouchable" games against Southern Cal, Stanford and Navy.

I have a question in regards of this. My understand with them was that the only reason they play Purdue was that they are basically "down the street" and was the easiest road trip for the Irish. Is there any truth to that?
