RE: Bailiff No 19 on the Hot Seat
Unless S&C gains under Coach Tedford are substantial enough such that the rash of injuries are reduced and the new defense coached by Stewart really makes an impact, I am not seeing 6 wins on the schedule. We play Pitt, Stanford, Army, and UH out of conference; that's brutal. Even if the defense plays well and our secondary shuts down the big play, we have to demonstrate that we can score. At a minimum, we need Samuel Stewart and the Walters to stay healthy (Stewart) and have break out years, and that is not addressing the elephant in the room: who will hand off the ball to them. I don't see how Bailiff survives three straight seasons without going to a bowl game. Someone mentioned sometime ago that one of the coordinators might be a head-coach-in-waiting. Not sure how feasible this notion is, but Stewart would be a compelling look.
