Here is Wayne Stewart Highlights
I think "probably" Huggins is a better perimeter shooter than Stewart but the rest of Stewart's game is more likely better. Stewart can rebound well, post up smaller guards, block shots, hit FT at a very high clip, and shoot & make shots within a smaller window of opportunity. Their respective defenses are debatable. Neither has shown much but Stewart now has Jans to teach him. So... yes CA, I think Stewart is an upgrade given what he brings to the team.
Although, as previously stated in other threads, the "real" upgrade at the shooting guard position is if Sidy Ndir is healthy and resuming his role. He was our most complete player on the team before he went down to injury last December. Stewart is actually an upgrade "offensively" from Matt Taylor and Jermaine Haley.
NMSU will be better offensively at every position except at point guard from last season. But I think the combination of AJ Harris and Buchanan should be close to or exceed Bakers output.
***EDITED***
What I find interesting is this Stewart video highlights mostly his three point shooting. Yet, Stewart made less than a 1/3 of his field goals from outside the arc (62 made); shooting an average 36.6%. Yet it was Stewart's shooting inside the arc where he did most of his damage (143 made); shooting 53.6% inside the arc "only". Adding to that, he was (is) a very good free throw shooter (84.2%, 112-133) making him a very difficult "BIG" guard/small forward to stop.
