Is using inmate labor not common or something?

My problem is with the discriminatory nature of our justice system. Let's disproportionately throw blacks in jail AND make them serve their mostly white overlords. Not a good look, imo.
That is silly. Working at the Governor's Mansion is a plum job. You only get it for good behavior. If they are mostly black its because they happened to be the most trustworthy.

Hell, if I remember correctly, Governor Huckabee got in trouble for making friends with a convict on the detail and pardoning him. That's a job you want.
