The best BBQthat I've ever had was ina suburb on Nashville.

It was homemade (vs restaurant-bough), so I'm not sure if it counts.

Homemade BBQ is typically better than even the best BBQ restaurants simply because BBQ is best served immediately after coming off the pit. Thus the irony of the majority of BBQ restaurants out there being buffets, as that's quite possibly the worst way to serve BBQ because the methods used to keep it warm either result it dried out BBQ or an over reliance on sauce to reintroduce moisture.
