This is technically true.


But in light of the ultimate outcome of the Minnesota case recently, I think a discussion is more than warranted over which burden of proof is appropriate for university hearings/panels to use when considering punishment that removes student status (suspension, expulsion).


Put me in the camp who says that a simple preponderance is clearly unacceptable.

You may be in a very small minority.
