DC: Developer plans luxury apartments for downtown DeKalb
This seems much more promising to actually happen rather than the other planned development 2 blocks down which has the issue of a lack of parking spots. Dekalb/NIU desperately needs developments like this.

A summery is below but please give them a click for the numbers.

In a public notice printed in Monday’s edition of the Daily Chronicle, a rezoning petition was filed for the four buildings at 112 E. Lincoln and 118 E. Lincoln, which are part of the same building, 122 E. Lincoln, 124 E. Lincoln and 122 S. First.

The plan is to knock down all four and replace them with a four-story residential and commercial building. There is one building behind this one which is also part of the development. Curious as its on the other side of the alley so I wonder if they will redirect that traffic to the North since it was a rather dangerous exit as it is now.
