RE: Raiders to Las Vegas--it's official.
The NFL made it clear they don't want third-party developers like Fortress involved. Only plans acceptable to the NFL are: Team builds and finances stadium, or local gov't builds stadium and gifts it to NFL team, or some combination of the two. So it's no surprise that Fortress was not at the NFL meeting.

And Oakland isn't going to give the Raiders $700 million for a new stadium, and the Coliseum site isn't available unless the A's find a new ballpark site elsewhere in Oakland, because the A's have 8 years remaining on their Coliseum lease.

Looks like the A's are going to win their game of chicken with the Raiders and get the Coliseum site to themselves. I don't see enough money materializing for a brand-new ballpark, though, so I will stick with my longstanding prediction that, after the Raiders leave, the A's will do an extensive remodel to turn the Coliseum into a baseball-only park, as Disney did with Anaheim Stadium when they owned the Angels.
