I think he can contribute instant offense off the bench. Which, given how we have offensive lulls, could make the difference in close games.
How does he remind you of anybody when he has not played a single college game?

... You do understand there's a good 30 minutes or so of film from the past year, even actual games he's played in, right?
I don't know how fast he'll adjust but his shot is better, he knows how to drive and look ahead in transition. He seems better to me.
We'll have to see how the season plays out, but that is what I got from watching him.
EDIT: I guess film would be an anachronism, but videos of him playing are available all over the place. You can google it if you like.
Those videos are of him playing against much lesser talent than he will face in college BB. I agree that you can get some idea of what he will be able to offer at UC. But, no one knows how he will handle the speed and size differences in big time college BB. It is a lot easier to drive to the basket against a high school kid than some 6'9" beast waiting to swat your shot away. He will also be guarded much more aggressively at the three point line.
I hope he learns quickly and sees progress in his freshman year. But there is reason that less than 5* recruits don't usually contribute at a high level in their first year. It takes time.
No doubt, I have patience with this though. Kilpatrick had a year of prep school and a redshirt year on top of that and he was still mostly a spot up shooter 'til the Big East tournament and the NCAA trip. Cumberland seems a little ahead of that IMO. but you're right, I don't know how he'll adjust. Their games are just very similar from what I see.
