I do think there is room to speculate that TV fat cats will eventually push for four 16, 18 or 20 school conferences. Just seems to make sense from a marketing and management perspective.

The bigger point is the ACC might be ripe for poaching by the B1G and $EC. Therefore it needs to solidify their numbers for when it inevitably happens.

You do know the ACC just signed a new monster TV deal and I believe extended their GOR. The ACC is not worried about being poached by the SEC or B1G and especially not the Big 12.
