RE: AAC Media Contract
Ive explained this before but Ill do it again...
ESPN holds TWO contracts. The AAC and the Big 12.
Does anybody know legally what happens if a contract holder ends up helping one party in a manner that harms the other? This same situation played out when Colorado left for the Pac12, Texas A&M to teh sec and Nebraskas left for the Big 10. ESPN held contracts with all and increased the Pac12s income and the big 10s.... in response, they told the Big 12 to add 2 more teams and that they would leave the old contract (which was paying for 12 teams) the same even though there was only 10.
This kept ESPN from violating any contracts. I dont see the AAC losing money over the next three years and theres a chance we could lose 3, just add 1 and keep the contract as is. Way cheaper for ESPN to do that then pay for a legal fight.
