They just want to appear like they want it to give them the excuse to leave when it doesn't happen. The BOR member just said the truth and the president had to try to shut him up about it. OU knows there's no addition that can actually close the gap with the other leagues, and they know Texas is never giving up the LHN unless they are leaving the B12.

What they ALL want is for the LHN to become the Big12 network. No one in the current Big12 would trade a yearly game vs Texas and OU to play ANY of the expansion candidates.

I don't get why people think Texas would be willing to give up the LHN for the Big 12. If they are willing to give up the LHN, they might as well go to a more elite league like the SEC. Oh here big 12...Let me give up our big advantage of our own national network, our extra $15 million, our recruiting pipeline by having a network, etc.

Exactly people want to make it seem like Texas cares about their fellow schools but the fact is the don' t.

I think what everyone is missing here is that a majority of the b12 is willing to force their hands. Part of the issue is that the tx schools are in the same conference. That being said everyone has memories of the swc.

they have to have 8 votes to expand and are not even close to that. texas will never give up the LHN and the big 12 has too few markets to support their own. This is a dead issue and has been.
