Actually, many predicted they would have a great season in Tubby's 1st year at UK (1997-1998) because of all of the returning upperclassmen...as the AP ranked UK #5 in their pre-season polls that year....as UK ended up beating the pre-season #7 Utah team in the Championship Game that year.
