vs 9 SMU won by 1 37-36
vs 5 UNLV won by 14 62-48
vs 10 Dayton won by 12 61-49
Vs 1 Kentucky won by 13 53-40
vs 2 Houston won by 9 84-75
so won 5 games by 39 points. Even if you give then a 50 point margin in a 1/16 game, that would be 89 points in 6 games. And that's with 1,2,5,9,10. Nova had 1,1,2,3,7.

I'd be curious(regardless of the GOAT status) if any team had a better run in the tourney- combining both point spread and opponents.

If you are talking greatest tournament run, that is a different argument than greatest team.
