FIFY........because if there's logic to keep JP now, there's as much logic to keep him another 2-3 years. And that goes for JP's thought process too & the university decision-makers. JP will realize (or already has) that the longer he is here the lower his future value. Apparently JP has made the decision he wants the money Memphis has agreed to pay more than he has confidence in his ability to be successful as a coach in the future. Because with continued failure at Memphis, JP will have no coaching future.

There is a third option, that Pastner believes he can right the ship and get the job done. I see it as a pipe dream, but in Pastner's world, I'm guessing that's exactly how he sees it.
