Awesome. We do a lot of work in Burundi. We recently got a medical clinic opened there and we provide funds to their BUSOMA (Burundi, Soy and Sorghum, Maize) feeding project for the malnourished. My wife got to go there last March.

I pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Hopefully, your church does the same. It is a great charity!

My past churches did the Christmas Child thing. However my current church does similar stuff for kids directly in our community instead with Christmas gifts and then winter gear like coats, hats, gloves and scarfs. We also do a weekly "backpack" feeding program with the local elementary school. We currently fill packs of 7 or 8 food items for almost 150 kids per week.

Our other major outreach is providing water filters and mosquito nets to Honduras.

But no...I don't believe Jesus was a true Socialist by the modern definition of the word. However, he was way more invested in social and community causes then your typical "conservative" ones.

Good to hear that your church does so much. How large is your congregation?
