That is a sad commentary on college athletes, that those are the two options (basketball or Sears). Not saying Max is necessarily in that category, but there are probably plenty who are.

Vast majority of college athletes probably do pretty well post graduation.
Of course having multiple years making millions in the NBA is great or even 200K in China is good. People tend to cherry pick male basketball and football players, who do not make it professionally and honestly black guys.

BTW Jason is a pretty smart guy and so is his Mom.
