Yes I agree. Most Canadians hate to labeled as an American and our proud to be a Canadian.

More to the specific point, there aren't a lot of Canadians in the NFL. By default he's going to get listed as from Rice in many situations, and most would just assume he's yet another Texan in the NFL. His opportunity to wave the flag of his country comes where he can mention his high school instead of his college. I don't hold that against him at all.
