Exclamation The Biggest game that you've probably never heard about
Right now I'm in Birmingham Alabama at Legion Field marveled once again by how many people are out here already for the 74th Annual Magic City Classic between my Alabama State Hornets and The Alabama A&M Bulldogs. The Classic has grown into the largest attended game in FCS football with 67,000+ in attendance and about another 40,000 or so who never come inside of the stadium but enjoy a Mardi Gras style tailgating area that extends the entire Legion Field area. But when you ask people about the biggest rivalry in FCS football the Magic City Classic almost never gets mentioned despite the amazing attendance numbers, the close contest, and tailgating that starts the week before the game. The Magic City Classic has about a $25 million dollar impact on Birmingham's economy in just one weekend.
