I've never heard this idea before but what if the B1G decided they wanted the Boston Market badly enough to add Boston College into the conference?

Pros for the B1G:

1) Boston Market. Will give the B1G another huge media market to work with on the East Coast. Fits in with the NY (Rutgers) and DC (Maryland) strategy to promote the Big Ten along the East Coast.

2) B1G Hockey. Boston College can help the B1G in Hockey with its program and help get Hockey to be a bigger item on the B1G network.

3) Academics. It would add a second private school to the conference to go with Northwestern. BC is well rated in the USWNR. Definitely more highly rated than Syracuse.

Would Boston College consider leaving the ACC for the B1G? Trade games against Pitt and Syracuse for Penn State and Rutgers. Earn a ton more TV money than before.
