I don't know if Tuberville is "taking us backwards" but it seems somewhat obvious that he certainly is not taking us "to the next level" either. This program has hit a plateau. If we are satisfied of being a "pretty good" G5 program and going to bowl games 3-out-of-4 years, perhaps going to the CCG every-now-and-then, then we're there. Nothing wrong with being "a pretty good" team...hell, as a few on these pages have noted, when you "put it into perspective," there were whole generations who would have given body parts just to be a "pretty good" team. Hell, remember when the Boise Bowl was an amazing achievement?

Maybe UC fans have to be content with where we are. Winning between 7-and-10 games a year is better than most.

It seems UC can't play above their talent level, and often plays below it. Rick Minter doesn't get much respect here, but at least his teams would upset a favorite once in a while. It feels like we are sliding back into mediocrity. We really need to beat at least one of BYU or Miami, and we need to win whatever bowl we get into this year, assuming that we get into one.
