Marriage isn't a LEGAL right it's a Religious RITE. Government needs to GTFO of the marriage business, this is a great start to making that happen. Civil Unions for everyone.

If you're referring to this law, you're absolutely wrong. In no way, shape, or form is this an attempt to remove government from a religious rite. Stop trying to portray this law in a positive light, it's an embarrassment of a law, and NC should be openly mocked for it.

Isn't marriage/civil union status a state jurisdiction rule? Are you a resident of NC? If not worry about your own state's problems.

Well if we are being picky, you live in Charlotte. Most of the rest of the people in the state don't consider that part of NC.02-13-banana
