I heard that the B1G is considering Colorado St. as an expansion target. This doesn't mean that that the B1G is pursuing CSU or even that CSU is a primary target, but the thought that CSU is on the B1G radar surprised me.

IF the B1G were to invite CSU, it would be a bigger shock than Rutgers/Maryland.

Upon further review, key factors at least warrant CSU consideration:

1) Flagship University in a decent-sized state (5 million population) bordering current B1G footprint (Nebraska).

2) Close to and substantial alumni base in top-20 Denver market - 1.5 million TV households. Decent play for the B1GNetwork.

3) Recent discussions and proposals to expand football stadium. With additional B1G exposure and $$, plan becomes reality.

4) Academics not AAU level yet, but potential is there.
