The MAC is consistently one of the bottom conferences. With all the success we are having we should make the move before it is too late. A move won't have overnight though. We need to be able to sustain the success we are having in the MAC while increasing the popularity of the program and filling the stadium up.
It wouldn't help the long term future and it would incur major major travel costs.
Well what do you suggest then? Being complacent and playing the same ****** MAC schools over and over? That is the reason this fan base has reached it's limits. People don't want to see NIU play WMU on Tuesday nights anymore.
Travel cost will go up, but that is a price to pay for better Division 1 football.
Many would argue including me, its no better. I just don't see how bringing Tulane, SMU, Temple to Huskie Stadium is any more appealing than Miami-OH, Ball State, and Bowling Green.
Interesting which AAC teams you chose to make your point. Two bottom feeders and another that's having a fairly good, although surprising year.
What about Cincy, UCF, East Carolina, Houston, UConn, Memphis and Tulsa? Without a doubt, those schools will draw better than any team in the MAC, with the exception of Toledo.
