He inherited Beilein and the basketball program.

The athletic facility renovations were put into place by previous AD Bill Martin.

Obviously, he destroyed the football program. Not only that, but he is responsible for overseeing the erasure of a 10-year waiting list for season football tickets.

I guess he was a good fundraiser? I could do that job, considering UM has the largest living alumni base in the nation.
