KC Chiefs safety penalized for TD prayer
Quote:Kansas City Chiefs safety Husain Abdullah was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct Monday night against the New England Patriots, after taking an interception for a touchdown.

Upon reaching the end zone, Abdullah knelt down to pray.

Penalty for Praying

So far I've seen some interesting feedback on this. On a local news channel here in Atlanta they reported the story but neglected to mention that Abdullah is Muslim. Most of the comments were from people screaming 'WHY CAN'T WE JUST PRAY????'

I'm curious to see how those same folks react once it blows up that he is Muslim.

As for me personally as a Christian I have no problem with it. If we're going to allow Tim Tebow and others who are Christian to take a knee and pray or do the sign of the cross, etc. then I've got no problem with Abdullah taking about 3 seconds to touch his head to the ground.
