Anyway, instead of BYU joining, I would strongly favor picking off 6-8 teams from the AAC, and about 4-6 from the BYU/MWC, and merge the best of them.

UConn
Temple
ECU
USF
UCF
UC
Navy
Army

West

Memphis (move Memphis to the East division for b-ball, when Army/Navy don't play)
Houston
SMU (or Tulane)
Boise St
BYU
UNLV
Fresno St.
SDSU

Wouldn't be all bad, really.

You've got the right idea. After you make this conference you immediately begin a PR campaign to be considered a Power Conference with an auto bid to a NYD bowl game.
