And yet I get all of the pro-FBS propaganda to some degree. What irks me the most is when they associate FCS with lower academics. I didn't see the broadcast, but I hope none of that was done. For example, during Terrence West's debut in preseason NFL football the announcers mentioned that he could not get offers to a Division I school based on his academic issues so he could only get offers from FCS schools. What a line of BS... even if true about his personal academic situation, the insinuation that all of FCS = lower tier academic institutions is grossly wrong as we all know (Ivies anyone? Patriot League?). However, there are cases where this is true, such as T.O. from UT-Chattanooga. I'm sure they think Alabama and the SEC are top notch schools based on their football teams... ugh.

Like it or not, that is the perception among the less educated, and high school students fall into this category. The typical HS student is well aware that Harvard is the top of the class for academics, but don't even know they have a football team.
