As am I and as we should be. Worth studying, however. Google the Baghdad Battery. There is definitely evidence of power generation in prehistory.

On the history forum, someone brought forward the idea that the Toba eruption about 25,000 years ago reduced earth's population 99% from 3M to 30k. While I am skeptical of the claims made in this piece, if that happened, it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility that some major technological knowledge was lost in that eruption.
I believe there are a number of things we don't know about historic civilizations.

Hell we still find ruins of civilizations we didn't even know existed sometimes. There are underwater temples off the coast of India and underwater pyramids off the coast of Japan that we know nothing about.

We've found ruins for civilizations in Turkey, Northern Africa, and Egypt that we had no record of.

Same can be said for parts of South America.

Hard to say how much was lost just since the last ice age when sea levels rose significantly covering a lot of previously dry land.

The Nazca Lines come to mind. No one to this day can say definitively what those lines were for.
