The WAC, MAC, and CUSA have ranked teams practically every year, and La Tech has had one of those teams on more than one occasion. And finally, speaking of LaTech, I was dumbfounded when I learned that Tech had never sold out its stadium, even during the 2012 season when late in the year you guys played at home ranked #19 in the nation. What's up with that?

LaTech has an unusual situation in which they've used Indepedendence stadium for over 70 home games over the years for some of their bigger games which partially explains why they haven't sold out their home stadium. How many teams have that option? I'll let LaTech fans fill in more if they have the info.

As to which premiere teams left the Sun Belt for C-USA? I'll let others provide input there.

La Tech has played 11 regular season games in Shreveport since 1995, almost 20yrs. These have ranged from the likes of Grambling up to those with Texas a&m. The only BCS visitor to Dogpatch in the modern era, past 30yr, would be the Miss State game some 4yr ago. Total gate receipts was just over $263,000 or at an average $30. ticket price a paid attendance of about 9,000 or less. Ms State sold about 1500 of those so looks like Tech has a paying crowd of 7500 and that could be the reason why their stadium has never been full.
