Let me know what "meat" you find in Ed's non-conference scheduling (beyond the B10-ACC challenge games) and say that again.
He took shots at the fans for not showing up. Is he entitled to full arenas with the likes of St. Francis, UMES, Yale, Maine, etc.? News to me. That's not how they do things down here in Big 5 territory. And why did HE stop scheduling Pitt? He had some of THE worst SOS ratings in the non-conference. That's not on "the administration." That's on him.
And is Navy having a renaissance these days?
I live and breath PA college hoops. I am so damn proud of this state. And, still, I hadn't a clue wtf he was doing. Sorry, Ed's a loser. Through and through.
The only "administrative fault" I ever had with the program was how they tossed Dunn not long after his Sweet 16 season. But it's not like Dunn ever recovered and took a head post again, and considering who the guy was who fired Dunn, who knows what happened.
Small budget, sure. Not good money, absolutely (they operate under a different model up there, though...like double-dip with salary and tenure, or booster contributions). PSU is PA's second worst program (congrats, St. Francis!), but don't bail out the terrible coach who helped put them there.
