Everyone has posted some good pros and cons for continuing to play Ohio State. I'm with Rag on this. It would absolutely destroy the pride of many (not all) OSU fans if Cincinnati or any other Ohio team beat them in their house. I hate to break the news but OSU fans and alumni don't view Cincinnati football any differently than they do Toledo, Kent State, Miami, OH or Ohio University. For them, there's OSU and then everybody else in the State of Ohio. They are and have been the big fish in the pond and I don't disagree with that. How do we put a dent in that notion? If we continue to play them and maybe just one time we end up winning a game. No one expects Cincinnati to go in to the Horseshoe and beat them. They have a whole lot more to lose than we do because of that perception. I say let's continue to play them regardless of a return game not just because of a chance to beat 'em but I want our program to say we will play anybody, anywhere, anytime and try to smash them in the mouth. If we want a good barometer of the state of our football program and where it is heading then we should play as many of the best programs that we can. Now if we end up in a P5 conference, then that is another matter in regard to playing OSU.
