Dendy (Twitter @deyd0ntkn0) emailed a message to those following him and his family before his flight took off early this morning. Dendy wrote:

First off, My family and I would like to thank everyone for their concerns and prayers!

My family and I have lived in Ukraine for the past 8 months, and the experience was amazing in the beginning but now it is dangerous for us to live here.

I have witnessed Ukrainians protesting in the streets, people taking their entire savings out of banks, and we were told several days and nights not to go outside and stay in our home for safety. Many practices were canceled, each day it's getting worse and worse. Games have been canceled, home and away, due to the violence. The people of Ukraine are fighting for a better day.... The “American Dream” I am blessed to return home to. This country is on a path to a better life, a better way of living.

Please continue praying for Ukraine, and continue to pray for those whom courageously lost their lives, all to make a change. For one day a change will come.
