Mark Cuban would like to see D-League essentially replace the college system

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban never has been shy about calling out the NCAA for its hypocrisy or criticizing college basketball’s one-and-done rule, so it wasn’t surprising that he expounded on those topics before last night’s Mavericks-Chicago game.

Most intriguingly, Cuban believes the NBA’s Development League — with improvements — can be a better training ground for top NBA prospects than them spending one year in college.

“I think what will end up happening — this is my opinion, not that of the league — is that if the colleges don’t change from the one-and-done, we’ll go after the ‘one,’” Cuban said.
