The article cited is marred by a petulant "leavitt doesn't talk to the press!" whiny tone about it.

That said, a good case can be made that Leavitt has wore out his welcome. Sure, he is the father of our program, built it from nothing to respectability. But, i think he's taken us as far as he can, and we need to do better than 6-6 in the Big East conference.

There's no evidence that Leavitt is the man who can help us do better.
