[split] CUSA basketball coaches on hot seat...

About a month before the season started I thought we'd finish slightly above .500 overall. Then Armstrong quit the team and Straughn announced his career was over. I thought there was still a chance of finishing around .500 but the margin of error was pretty much zero. Then Guilmette got hurt and now this is just painful. Really just by smoke and mirrors did we finish 11-4 OOC, but now the reality has set in. This team has no real point guard, no consistent post presense, and it's only consistent scoring threat is a 6"0 guard who can't dribble and is a completely one dimensional player. Yes he's elite at that one dimension, but with no one to take any pressure off him he's getting smothered and really only gets open shots now on pure scramble plays.

It wasn't smoke and mirrors. You played 4 teams who don't even count in the RPI. Then you play 8 teams with an RPI of 200+. Your best win on the season is either A) a 9 point loss at Duke B) an 11 point loss at NC State or C) A win over RPI 228 UNC Asheville. The schedule was a joke. It didn't set you up for conference play. Nobody respected your record.
