WIC is the way food stamps should be in that only certain, and known, items are allowed to be purchased.

You can't just buy anything with food stamps (at least if the state is running it the way they're supposed to)

No, but they can buy a lot of stuff people shouldn't be allowed to buy. Shouldn't be able to buy junk food with FS. It should be limited to fruits, vegetables, juice, eggs, fresh meat, milk, and maybe a handful of other items.

Soda, Kool-Aid, cookies, chips, processed frozen meals, etc shouldn't be allowed in my opinion.
