Well, the Yardcocks wrapped up their season in solid fashion, finishing 2nd in the east, & only 2 games back of the SEC reg. season title. Very good considering how we were looking back in mid April.

Now, we've swept our way through the SEC-T with a 4-0 record there, which no doubt helped propel us to a #2 national seeding for the upcoming NCAA's. The post season's off to a good start.

Looking at our regional, I think it's a tough one. Citadel's no patsy as a #4 regional seed, & I'm sure UNC (#2) would love nothing more than to get revenge for us sending them home the last 2 years.

Personally, I think Tanner will have the team focused & ready to play. I expect them to come out & play good, fundamental baseball, & I expect a solid perfomance from our pitching staff. As usual my concern is & remains our struggle to produce runs.

I think we can pitch & field our way through the regionals, & possibly the Supers, but if we get back to Omaha we're going to have to start pounding out some runs.
