I think that the board's roots as a Big East board (IIRC) would be a reason for many long members to have a different allegiance as a starting point. Many other members like myself were drawn here for realignment news and speculation. The B1G has weathered that storm well and grown, while many other conferences did not fare so well. Since the whole topic is a conference-centric one, fans are likely to stick up for their favorite and be vocal against others.

And to bigblueblindness' point, it's true that a vocal minority can cause a negative impression. KU's more entitled fans have made us look bad on the web as well. As for the Wiggins get, I think Cal has more than enough talent on hand already 04-cheers

Indeed! In recent days when it became more clear that Wiggins was not coming to UK, it turned from rooting for him to come to just rooting that he not go to UNC! Good luck to the Jayhawks... until the late April/early May next year 04-cheers
