Very doubtful that the Big East picks from CUSA again. Tulsa....maybe if they want in for academic reasons. Presidents call the shots. Outside of that, I cant imagine anyone making a lateral move to a conference that is likely to pay only 250K more. Especially considering the CUSA buyout and the cost of the Big East entry fee. If these reports are true then UCONN and or Cincy is likely headed to the ACC and that would even further reduce the Big East TV deal.


At some point, I think the Big East will go back to their roots and pick up some of that lost presence in the North East. Buffalo and a fledgling UMASS would probably fit the bill. Losing Syracuse was huge and losing UCONN will be huge as well. Another thing to remember is that neither Buffalo or UMass would have to pay much of an exit fee as part of the Mac.

Not sure where that number is coming from. Bottom line, if conference armageddon comes all sorts of unforseen stuff could happen.

...Numbers pulled out of a hat....this is going to get crazy ugly soon...but I do agree with him that NO WAY SHOULD USM MAKE ANY KIND OF A MOVE (or any other candidate) meaning that CUSA is not an option....let the nBE starve and see what happens.
