Possibly, but that was some big ol' fat rain. Pretty much a steady downpour the entire game. Not many fields would have stood a chance against it.

I could be wrong shifty, and I have been in the past on many things, but when that field was put in, the drainage system was supposed to be top notch and water was to never pool like it did that night. I'm not sure if the Physical Plant is in charge of checking the draining system or if the Ath. Dept. took that over.

The fact that we haven't changed out the turf in forever probably did help either. It looked like doo-doo even during good weather.

That's another thing.. We spent I forgot how much on that turf and a department was supposed to upkeep it.. I don't think it ever happened.
